Lahaina Banyan Tree Reveals Indicators of Life

Lahaina’s 150-year-old banyan tree that was broken within the August wildfire is displaying indicators of life with teams of newly sprouted leaves. Arborists are volunteering their time and experience to save lots of the tree. These consultants point out that the brand new leaves are optimistic indicators of long-term restoration.

The Kilauea Eruption Goes Again On Pause

The spectacular volcano eruption at Halema’uma’u  that began Sunday, September 10, 2023 has already stopped. In line with the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, this eruption stopped on Saturday, September 16th.

The September eruption was the third one in all 2023. The primary eruption, in early January, lasted into early March. The following one was in early June and was solely lively for lower than two weeks. The September eruption that was lively for just below per week.
