Mahalo to Dan Mazzei from Seattle for sharing this wonderful Aloha Friday Photo. He captured this shot of a humpback whale fluke on January 28, 2024 from Mahukona Park on Hawaii’s Massive Island.

The height humpback whale season, which spans January, February, and March, is such a charming time to go to the Hawaiian Islands. It’s astonishing to contemplate that these majestic creatures journey hundreds of miles, almost definitely from Alaska, to spend their winters in Hawaii for mating and giving beginning, even though there’s little to no meals for them within the waters surrounding Hawaii.
