Mahalo to Christine Renton for sharing this Aloha Friday Photo that she took in 2015 on a visit to rejoice a 25th anniversary.
The shoreline that you simply see in Christine’s photograph is a part of Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon in Waikiki beside Hilton Hawaiian Village. It’s a beautiful, saltwater lagoon named after Hawaii’s beloved and well-known waterman, Duke Kahanamoku. This man-made lagoon gives sheltered swimming away from the ocean waves.
One other enjoyable reality about Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon is that it’s the spot the place Hilton Hawaiian Village’s fireworks light up the skies on Friday nights.
And, talking of fireworks, it’s nearly New 12 months’s Eve! Tomorrow, we’ll have a submit with a roundup of all of the New 12 months’s Eve fireworks in Hawaii.
Joyful Aloha Friday!
